Meditation Workshop with John Bruna

Sunday, July 12th – 1 pm to 4 pm Mountain Time

Join us for this online special event with John Bruna. John will teach the fundamentals of three types of meditation as well as best practices to establish a meditation practice.

During these times of uncertainty and challenge, it is more important than ever to cultivate a stable, resilient, and healthy mind. In this workshop, John will provide instruction on three specific meditations that he feels are extremely helpful in our present circumstances:

  • Shamatha meditation (calm abiding) to help establish stability, attention, and freedom being hooked by rumination, worry, and strong emotions.
  • Equanimity meditation to help balance our views and experiences of ourselves and others, cultivating a more accurate and healthy relationship with our experiences and creating more opportunity for meaningful connection.
  • Transforming unskillful events – This is a powerful and transformation meditation that provides insight into our unhealthy activities and reactions and provides an opportunity to develop and engage in activities that are in alignment with our values and respond to our experiences in ways we feel good about.

The workshop is offered freely on a donation basis (you may attend free or make a donation of any amount) and is open to everyone. The workshop will be offered online using Zoom.

Registration is required. The workshop is currently full. If you would like to be put on a waitlist, please email [email protected].

All donations will go to the nonprofit that John founded, The Way of Compassion Foundation.
