“Mindfulness is much more than present moment awareness, mindfulness includes and facilitates the cultivation of concentration, wisdom, and the ability to make healthy choices that foster genuine happiness and a meaningful life.” – John Bruna

Join us at the Mercy Retreat Center in Auburn, California for a very special mindfulness retreat. This is a 3 night Mindful Life retreat which combines the practice of meditation and the practical application of mindfulness in daily life. Living mindfully empowers you to live your life with attention and intention, cultivating the skills to make healthy choices that are in alignment with your values and are meaningful to you.

In this busy, multitasking world, we are often stressed, tired and have difficulty finding inner peace, joy, and meaning in our lives.   The practice of mindfulness is very accessible and provides you with the tools to cultivate inner peace and the ability to make healthy choices. Instead of being caught up in distraction, thoughts, worries, and life’s daily activity list, reacting to the events of the day, mindfulness empowers you to cultivate attention which creates more choice and the ability to initiate and respond to life.

Mindfulness is much more than learning to be present in the moment. It is the ability to be present with clarity and discernment – to be able to experience life (events, people, thoughts, and emotions) consciously and respond with wisdom. Mindfulness includes and facilitates the

ability to bring wisdom into the moments of your life, recognizing unhealthy habits and tendencies and cultivating the ability to make healthy choices that are in alignment with your values and the life you define as meaningful. Our mindfulness programs help you develop clarity, mental and emotional balance and lead a meaningful life that is in alignment with your inner values.

The retreat will be lead by myself and my wife, Laura Bartels. It will include periods of silence, meditation, discussion, and journaling. You can learn more about me by exploring this website.
