Join former Tibetan Buddhist monk, John Bruna, author of The Wisdom of a Meaningful Life, as he shares key insights and practices that anyone can put into practice immediately to start cultivating genuine happiness in their own lives. John will highlight the distinctions and confusion between stimulus driven pleasure and genuine happiness. Genuine happiness is a state of inner flourishing, well-being, peace, and resiliency that can pervade even our most difficult and challenging experiences.

John Bruna is an author, educator, counselor, and mindfulness and Dharma teacher. He is the co-founder of the Mindful Life Program and director of the Way of Compassion Foundation. His personal story is a powerful example of the transformation of the human spirit. Rising from homelessness and addiction, in 1984, at the age of 22, John began his journey of redemption and recovery. As a result of that journey, John has become an inspirational, accessible, authentic teacher and role model for people who want positive change and progress in their life.

Copies of John’s newly released book, The Wisdom of a Meaningful Life: The Essence of Mindfulness will be available for purchase and there will be a book signing with John immediately following the talk.
